Sunday 19th February. Seventh Sunday of the Year

Sunday 19th February.

Seventh Sunday of Year A
Mass at 8.30am & 10am.

Refreshments served after both Masses
in the Pope John Paul Room.
Come and join us!

This week sees the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday.
An important day to come to church and receive your ashes if you are to start out on your Lenten observances with the help of God's grace. You won't be able to keep your good intentions without it!

On Shrove Tuesday we will keep the devotion to the Holy Face of Jesus. Gazing upon the face of Christ crucified unites us with all His sorrows, love and total abandonment. “Every time My Face is contemplated I will pour out My Love into the hearts of those persons, and by means of My Holy Face the salvation of many souls will be obtained.” (Our Lord Jesus Christ to Sister Pierina)

The Sacri Vultus – Holy Face – Relic is one of a number of images that were created and actually touched to Veronica’s veil in St. Peter’s Basilica, one of which will be present in church.

FIRST SACRAMENTS.
All parents of Year 4 children and above are invited to a meeting in the Parish Hall this Wednesday 22nd February 2023 at 8pm (Ash Wednesday, following Mass). This will be an introduction meeting to enroll the children in the First Sacraments program: Confession and First Holy Communion. The following Sunday, 26th February, all families are invited to an enrollment Mass at either 8.30am or 10am.
