While the understanding of the Pope and cardinal may be conditioned, there is the more important fact of the guidance of the Holy Spirit given to them in their particular office of teaching. Moreover, even if there is contitioning, it can be recognised and a correction made. This does not justify a stance which represents a contradiction of magisterial teaching. The 'established' interpretation of 'We are Church'?RJhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13871618901190898384noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4598228705498900088.post-77587560332511891612012-09-11T10:37:10.268+01:002012-09-11T10:37:10.268+01:00The cardinal says, 'You know better than I do ...The cardinal says, 'You know better than I do that understanding, even of self evident realities, can be conditioned, not infrequently, by emotional, biographical, cultural and even ideological aspects.' Is not his and the Pope's desire to reinterpret the Council likewise so conditioned by their ideology?Dorotheusnoreply@blogger.com
